Channel 4
I'm having a great day. The word is finally out about lupus. Just hanging out with Paula Tutman at the children's hospital of Michigan watch me today at 4:00 on channel 4 news.
Thank you so much Paula for helping me spread the world. You just don't know how grateful I am to have you help. Thanks you will always have a place in my heart.
I just saw your piece with Paula, and I wanted you to know that you are so brave and courageous. Throughout the piece, I thought you were so a adorable, smart, just a cutie patootie. Continued success with the blog and your ability to speak of your illness, you're helping many.
I just saw you on t.v and you are sooooo beautiful inside and out!!! Your an amazing girl and those kids that teased you are just jealous!!! Hold your head high cause your awesome!!!!!
Your are such a Beautiful Strong Smart young Lady I am so sorry people are mean just remember What nasty things other say about You Shows a lot about them.... Nasty Stay Beautiful Inside and out Bless you and Your friends and Family
Hi ChyAnn, I would just like you to know that your story has been heard in Canada! You are an amazing girl! Don't let anyone bring you down. You have an amazing heart and you are very beautiful! Your story brought tears to my eyes. Good luck with your blog! I wish you nothing but the best hunny. Stay positive <3
ChyAnn! You are beautiful!!! I don't have lupus and I'm not a child, but I do know about physical disabilities. I cried out loud at your story. To think ANYONE would tease or bully someone so beautiful on the inside and out, makes me angry and sad. I loved your pretty little white dress, too!! Keep up your good work.
ChyAnn, how are you doing? Ironically enough your story of living with lupus sounds a little like mine. I was diagnosed at the age of 14 and I struggled with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus up until my late twenties. However, what bothered me most is how people treated me after I began taking steroids. I decided to turn my negative experience with living with lupus in to a form of empowerment for others. I write inspirational books and I'm the Founder of SHE'S Empowered (Sister Helping Encourage Sisters) where we advocate lupus awareness and empowerment with workshops and an annual conference.
The SHE'S Empowered 5th Annual Women's Empowerment Conference Butterfly Bash will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Dr. Charles H Wright Museum of African American History from 4pm-8pm. If you interested in being my guest contact me at 313-492-6953. I will make sure you get a ticket. To find out more visit www.shesempowered.com or www.butterflybash2014.eventbrite.com
Hi punkin! I just wanted to stop by and say I completely understand how you're feeling. I was diagnosed with Lupus at a very young age as well. I was in 6th grade. I'm now 37 and am relatively healthy! Oh how I wish there would have been a support group for me in my earlier years! You are doing an amazing thing! You are beautiful from your anti nucleus antibodies all the way out to your beautiful smile! :) stay positive, eat healthy food, get lots of rest and know you'll be ok! :)

Hi ChyAnn I just watched your news story and am so moved by what you are doing to help others and the grace you are showing in facing your own challenges. You are beautiful INSIDE and OUT! You are also a wonderful artist! I am blessed that I get to see you each day in art class. I wish you a magical summer and look forward to seeing you each day next year at school. Keep spreading the positivity and love! HUGS! Mrs. Iatrou
Although no one else in my family has lupus I was diagnosed at age 13 following 5 years of unexplained health issues (I'm 30 now). I can relate to the torture of other children when the steroids drastically changed my appearance. You are ahead of the game though, taking charge of your life reaching out to others to be an aid and an inspiration to others who feel there is no hope in their fight against immune disorders. I applaud your efforts and want to let you know that you are an amazing lupus warrior and I want to wish you peace and success in all your future endeavors. --- Xena
